Practical engineering for sea cucumber farms.

FarmEye is in field trial on our Jaffna farm, and our farm apps run the team every day. We are also developing underwater inspection, cleaning and harvesting systems, with each project’s progress clearly shown.

Poaching is the biggest cost on a Jaffna sea cucumber farm.

GMT FarmEye finds people coming from the shore or through the water and rings your phone with a siren. Nobody has to watch the monitor. In field testing on our own farm in Jaffna.

One farm, one screen.

Alerts, inspections and batch records in one place, with training, documents and support for your team. Start with one problem. If buying is better than building, we will say so.

Three ways to work with us

Install FarmEye, host a trial, or fix a task.

Each comes with evidence before you commit. You always know which of the three you are paying for.

01GMT FARMEYE FOR YOUR FARM

GMT FarmEye for your farm

Cameras, AI detection and phone alerts, installed and supported by our team.

Before you commit, you see
  • It running on our own farm
  • A camera plan for your landing points
  • Install, support and monthly costs in writing
02HOST OR FUND A TRIAL

Host or fund a trial

Put the machines we are developing to work on your pens as they reach each gate.

We agree up front
  • A test plan and budget ceiling
  • Stop/go criteria for each gate
  • What the prototype cannot do yet
03CUSTOM FARM ENGINEERING

Custom farm engineering

A paid assessment of one task on your farm, then a bounded build and support.

You get in writing
  • A measured baseline
  • A written scope and acceptance test
  • A service plan

Poaching is the biggest cost on a Jaffna sea cucumber farm.

GMT FarmEye is built to catch people: poachers walking in from the shore or coming through the water. The AI watches the cameras, so nobody has to sit at the monitor, and rings the owner’s phone with a siren only when it finds a person or a boat. Built by SafeNet on Hikvision IP cameras for the pens of Globe Multi Traders (GMT) in Jaffna.

How delivery works

  1. 01

    Qualify

A short call or a video of the task: what, how often, the output, the issue and the location.

Decision gateFree screening. We confirm fit, the decision-maker and a budget before any site visit.
  2. 02

    Assess

We observe the baseline and compare three options: buy equipment, adapt what you have, or build.

Decision gatePaid, fixed-scope assessment with a recommendation and a costed next step.
  3. 03

    Prototype

A rig, software proof or modified part that resolves one defined uncertainty.

Decision gateFunded experiment with capped spend and written stop/go criteria.
  4. 04

    Pilot

It runs in your real conditions while we record performance.

Decision gateAcceptance tests agreed for performance, reliability, usability and maintenance.
  5. 05

    Deploy & support

Install, commission, train your team and hand over documents.

Decision gateMilestone invoices, defined warranty, spare parts, support scope and optional monitoring.

How engineering work is priced

You pay for measured improvement, in stages.

Assessment fee = engineering time + travel + measurements

Fixed before the visit.

Pilot price = design + parts + fabrication + controls & software + assembly & testing + contingency

Quoted after the assessment, with what is and is not included.

Monthly items = cloud + connectivity + service

Always quoted separately, never hidden in the build price.

Payments = enough upfront for committed parts, then milestones you can review

Changes go through written change control.

Simple payback

12.0months to pay back

Count losses avoided, extra energy, maintenance, downtime and support in the benefit. Staff time saved becomes a cash saving only if spending actually falls.

Who does the work

Engineers, makers and software people, in Jaffna.

SafeNet Solutions is the engineering and automation division of SafeNet Creations, based in Jaffna. We start with aquaculture, because we farm sea cucumbers ourselves and can test every idea where the problems are real.

Our team and collaborators include engineering graduates and student contributors with academic backgrounds at the University of Moratuwa and the University of Jaffna, alongside SafeNet’s software and AI team. Together we investigate farm problems, develop designs and turn suitable ideas into working systems.

Customers work through SafeNet for project coordination, clear milestones, training and agreed support.

Questions farm owners ask

Machines, FarmEye, privacy and cost.

Do you only work with sea cucumber farms?
We start with sea cucumber pen farms in Jaffna, because we run one and can test there first. Hatcheries and other marine farms can talk to us about FarmEye and custom work.
Can I buy the machines now?
Not yet. The AquaSentinel inspection vehicle, net cleaner, harvest arm and processor are in development or at concept stage. You can host or fund a trial. GMT FarmEye is the system we can install for pilot farms now, and our farm operations apps, GMT Worker and GMT Accounts, already run our farm every day.
Does FarmEye work without internet?
It is built to. Detection and recording run on the farm computer, and alerts wait on site and send when the connection returns. We are checking this in the field trial before we promise it.
Who can see my camera video?
Video is recorded on your farm and stays there. Only alert snapshots and short clips go to the cloud, and only the people you add can see them.
What does an assessment cost?
It depends on travel, time on site and the measurements needed. After a free screening call we quote a fixed fee before any visit.
Who owns the design?
Product IP, client-specific IP, manufacturing rights and what we may publish are agreed in writing before work starts.
Can I send a video in Tamil or Sinhala?
Yes. Send a short video or voice note in Tamil, Sinhala or English. We use videos only to assess your problem and ask before publishing any footage.
